Neil is a Senior Portfolio Manager, based out of the Cincinnati, Ohio office. He is responsible for coordinating the firm’s investment portfolio management strategies with its financial advisors. Collaborating with colleagues to understand their clients’ goals, needs and risk tolerances, Neil assists in structuring investment plans to meet those objectives. He is also a member of MAI’s Investment Committee.
Prior to MAI, Neil joined the former John D. Dovich & Associates in 2017 and shortly became the head of the firm’s Private Investment Committee, overseeing the research, communication and operations of the firm’s Private Investment Strategies. He became Chief Investment Officer in 2019, leading the former firm’s overall research, asset allocation and trading operations. Prior to joining John D. Dovich & Associates, Neil served as a Portfolio Manager at several wealth management firms, working with high net worth families and foundations in the Cincinnati area on their investments, estate planning and overall financial reporting.
A native of St. Louis, Neil is a graduate of Xavier University with a major in Honors Bachelor of Arts, Finance and Classics and a triple minor in Mathematics, Philosophy and Classical Humanities. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Cincinnati.
He is a mentor through Xavier University’s Mentor Program, a grader for the CFA Institute Research Challenge, and a youth coach for soccer and basketball.
