Work Experience

• Supervises the proprietary equity portfolios within MAI while also providing an outlook on the equity markets as a whole
• Serves as the lead portfolio manager of the Focused Equity Portfolio, which is a concentrated portfolio of large capitalization U.S. equities
• Authors a variety of “thought pieces” covering topics regarding the markets and risk/opportunities in the current environment
• Frequent commentator on CNBC and Bloomberg Television and appears often on various radio and television platforms
• Was the owner and founder of Grisanti Capital Management (“GCM”), where his analytical background led GCM to focus on concentrated, long-term investments, driven by extensive research
• Practiced corporate law at the New York firm of Simpson, Thacher, & Bartlett before joining the investment company Spears, Benzak, Salomon, & Darrell (SBSF) in 1994, where he was Director of Research, supervisions a team of nine analysts

Life Outside of MAI 

• Lead Director of the Royce Funds, a family of mutual funds
• Serves (or has served) on numerous not-for-profit boards including the Healthcare Chaplaincy, the American Shakespeare Center, Good Counsel Homes, and One East End Avenue Corporation (for which he is president)
