Managing Partner Rick Buoncore Honored with Del de Windt Leadership Award for Civic Engagement

Rick Buoncore, Managing Partner, has been recognized by The First Tee Cleveland and is the recipient of the 2019 Del de Windt Leadership Award for Civic Engagement. Established in 2012, the award goes to community leaders who have made a mark on civic life in Northeast Ohio.

Rick was instrumental in establishing The First Tee Cleveland chapter in an effort to acquaint youth with the sport of golf and the values upheld by the game. For three years following the chapter’s inception, Rick fulfilled the role of Board Chair and has remained actively involved in growing the chapter’s base of supporters and donors.

Rick continues to promote The First Tee Cleveland, and the over 20,000 youth who have experienced the signature Life Skills Curriculum. Each hole of The First Tee Cleveland’s nine-hole course carries the name of the group’s core values. The fourth hole, known as “perseverance,” bears the Buoncore Family name and honors Rick’s favorite value. For more information on The First Tee Cleveland, please visit:
